When I first heard about refrigerator oatmeal, I was intrigued. For the past little while, I have been microwaving and eating the instant oatmeal packs for breakfast. I know it’s not the healthiest option, but it’s quick and easy, especially when my routine calls for a 6:30 a.m. wake-up.
This new method, however, is arguably quicker (in the morning), since all of the preparation is done the night before.
Thanks to Monica at The Yummy Life, I now have a new favourite breakfast meal that is quick, easy and delicious. The flavour combinations are endless. For my first attempt, I chose Banana Peanut Butter (recipe here). I pretty much followed the recipe exactly but used flax seeds instead of chia seeds and added hemp seeds as well.
I don’t even have a photo of my own because I downed it so quickly. Okay, maybe I just forgot to snap one, but you get the point. So so good.
